Earth & Sky Beginner level classes are perfect for those who are completely new to yoga and/or Pilates, students new to our studio, or those who have taken an extended break from the mat.  We welcome beginners of all ages and abilities.

Our qualified, skilled, experienced teachers lead safe, caring classes, focussed on teaching beginners good alignment and technique.  Students progressively build strength and flexibility.

Beginner classes are small in size, and are delivered at a pace that makes learning yoga or Pilates accessible to all students.  The duration of classes is 1hr 15mins, allowing time for a full spectrum of poses, meditation and rest.

Beginners may also enjoy our Restorative Yoga or Gentle Hatha Yoga, which both offer a relatively leisurely pace, along with a teaching environment conducive to supporting the needs of beginner students.

We recommend you commence your Earth & Sky journey with a Beginner Pass, which provides you with unlimited access for 4 weeks to all Beginner classes, Restorative classes and Gentle Hatha classes for just $99.

Frequently Asked Questions

I can’t do yoga, I’m not flexible!
Great! Flexibility is one of the benefits of a regular yoga practice, not a requirement for starting classes. We welcome folks with all levels of physical ability.

What do I wear and bring?
Plan to do yoga barefoot and in clothes that are not overly baggy but comfortable enough so that you can freely move. All yoga equipment is provided. Just bring yourself and your willingness. Bags, mobile phones and water bottles can all be left in the reception area and are not to be brought into the practice area.

Do classes start on time?
Yes, please arrive 5 minutes before the start of class and 10 minutes before your first class.

Can I eat before class?
It’s a good idea not to eat anything too heavy 2 hours prior to practice.

Do I need to call or book before my first class?
Remember our studio is a boutique studio with limited numbers in classes - booking online is preferred to secure your place in the class.

Pregnant?
Pregnant students are welcome in the pre-natal class on  Thursdays 6.00pm and Saturdays 11.45am. We also offer a Prenatal Pilates class Monday nights at 6pm.Pregnant students may begin these classes at anytime during pregnancy.
