Restorative and Yin Yoga

Restorative Yoga is open to students of all abilities and experience.
Gently guided away from the pace and demands of daily life, students are supported to enter a state of quiet mindfulness, through the use of slow pace, yoga props and deep breathing.  Slower movements calmly cultivate space for a deeper experience of yoga poses and breath, quietening the nervous system and bringing comfort at the end of the week.
Restorative Yoga is held each Sunday evening 5.30 - 6.45pm.

Yin Yoga is a grounded, mat-based practice targeting specific areas of the body. Poses are held in stillness, for several minutes. There is minimal striving/effort involved. Mindful connection is prioritised, wilst the breath is guided inwards. The body is lengthened, with space created in the fascia. This leads to improved joint mobility, range of motion and flexibility, and so to reduced stiffness and soreness. The nervous system is calmed.

Yin Yoga is suitable for all ages, fitness levels, shapes and sizes. It is a contemplative practice, characterised by slow, mindful movements.
Yin Yoga class is held Wednesday evening - 7.15-8.30pm
